Veteran Japanese actress Yoshinaga Sayuri was born in Shibuya, Tokyo as World War II drew to a close. She graduated from Tokyo's Waseda University and later married director Okada Taro. Yoshinaga Sayuri is often considered the most notable Japanese actress.
